——記合肥七中高新校區(qū)英語(yǔ)演講比賽

12月18日下午，合肥七中高新校區(qū)英語(yǔ)演講比賽順利落下帷幕，作為校園科技藝術(shù)文化節(jié)的一部分，英語(yǔ)演講比賽一直是備受學(xué)生關(guān)注的一個(gè)活動(dòng)，也是學(xué)生將平日的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)運(yùn)用于實(shí)踐、展現(xiàn)自己英語(yǔ)水平的一個(gè)良好平臺(tái)。

The English Speech Contest of Hefei No. 7 Middle School, held on the new campus came to an end on December 18th afternoon, a great success. As part of Science and Art Festival, English Speech Contest, a good platform for students to practice what they have learned in class and show their English talent, is always being an activity attracting many students’ interest.

本次的英語(yǔ)演講比賽從公告到初選再到?jīng)Q賽，前后共持續(xù)了兩周之久。從初選開(kāi)始，學(xué)生們就表現(xiàn)出了極高的參賽熱情。初選要求從每個(gè)班選出兩名參賽選手，各班的初選形式不一，或自主報(bào)名、或同學(xué)推薦、或老師推薦。限于規(guī)則，每個(gè)班級(jí)只能推薦兩名選手，而有的班級(jí)報(bào)名選手很多，讓老師不得不忍痛割?lèi)?ài)，篩選掉一些選手，雖然可惜，但相信他們準(zhǔn)備比賽的過(guò)程本身就是一場(chǎng)難忘的經(jīng)歷。

This English Speech Contest, from try-out to the final, lasted for two weeks,. Students brought forth strong enthusiasm from the very beginning. It was required that each class recommend two candidates. The ways of recommending varied from class to class, including self-enrollment, classmates’ election and teachers’ assignment. Due to the limit to the number of candidates, it was a pity that most students had no chance to participate in the final competition; however, the process of preparing for the try-out was definitely an unforgettable experience for them.

初選到?jīng)Q賽之間的準(zhǔn)備期間，選手們更是積極備戰(zhàn)，課間總能見(jiàn)到各個(gè)辦公室英語(yǔ)老師身邊圍著一些學(xué)生，或拿著演講稿請(qǐng)老師幫助修改潤(rùn)色，或在老師面前演講開(kāi)來(lái)，請(qǐng)老師糾正語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)，指導(dǎo)手勢(shì)姿態(tài)，其用心程度已經(jīng)可以得滿(mǎn)分。

Before the final came, students had spared no effort to make preparations. They came to the teachers’ during the break, some asking for teachers’ advice on how to polish their composition, some inviting their teachers to tutor them in their pronunciation, intonation and gestures. Their devotion deserves full marks.

決賽在12月17、18日兩天下午的第四節(jié)課如期舉行。本次演講比賽形式為脫稿演講，演講主題有兩種選擇，一是既定主題“friendship（友誼）”，二是學(xué)生自選主題。來(lái)自24個(gè)班的48名學(xué)生帶來(lái)了跟“友誼”、“夢(mèng)想”、“堅(jiān)持”、“現(xiàn)代科技”等話(huà)題有關(guān)的一個(gè)又一個(gè)精彩的演講。有的娓娓道來(lái)與朋友間感人的友情故事，有的慷慨激昂地訴說(shuō)著自己的夢(mèng)想，有的激情澎湃地鼓舞大家“永不言棄”，還有的用實(shí)例告誡大家不要被科技剝奪了生活的樂(lè)趣，讓人深思……除了內(nèi)容，選手們的表現(xiàn)也是可圈可點(diǎn)。他們標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的發(fā)音、大氣的臺(tái)風(fēng)、新穎的創(chuàng)意以及舉手投足間流露出的自信都讓臺(tái)下的觀(guān)眾、評(píng)委們點(diǎn)頭稱(chēng)贊。經(jīng)過(guò)激勵(lì)的角逐，來(lái)自高一（六）班的王子騰同學(xué)以9分（滿(mǎn)分10分）的高分獲得了本次比賽的第一名，與張心怡、袁金嬌、朱雨晴同學(xué)共獲一等獎(jiǎng)；張馨然等9位同學(xué)榮獲二等獎(jiǎng)，錢(qián)舒健等11位同學(xué)榮獲三等獎(jiǎng)。

The final took place on the afternoons of December 17th and 18th as scheduled. Students were required to make an unscripted speech and meanwhile they were free to choose topics if they didn’t want to make a speech on the predetermined topic ‘friendship’. Contestants from 24 classes presented wonderful speeches with topics ranging from ‘friendship’, ‘dream’, ‘persistence’, to ‘modern technology’ and so on. Audience and judges were deeply impressed by their performance in terms of their standard pronunciation, elegant stage manners, creative ideas as well as their confidence. After a competitive contest, the first prize went to Wang Ziteng, Zhang Xinyi, Yuan Jinjiao, Zhu Yuqing, among whom Wang got the highest score; Zhang xinran and another eight students won the second prize, Qian Shujian and ten other students winning the third prize.

校園科技文化藝術(shù)節(jié)旨在展現(xiàn)七中學(xué)子風(fēng)貌、促進(jìn)學(xué)生個(gè)性發(fā)展和全面發(fā)展，本次英語(yǔ)演講比賽恰好給學(xué)生提供了一個(gè)展示自我的機(jī)會(huì)，既豐富了學(xué)生的課余生活，又增進(jìn)了學(xué)生對(duì)英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的熱情，獲得師生的一致好評(píng)。

Science and Art Festival aims to provide students with an opportunity to reveal themselves as members of Hefei No. 7 Middle School, to build their personality and to get an all-round development. As part of the festival, English Speech Contest just gave students such a chance, enriching their after-class life and promoting their learning enthusiasm, which was highly spoken of by both teachers and students.
